Wordpress is definitely on top of my list and I'm a bit biased for them.
Great themes , easy to use, easy to install and configure, Plug-ins are great.

Next on my list is Blogger: Should I say anything more? :) Google loves this baby! create a blog on blogger and watch it get indexed in less than a day.

Tumblr : Tumblr is the rapidly growing tool. It is basically focused on Sharing contents. It provides a subdomain name like you.tumblr.com and you can add your own domain to your blog, like the custom domain name feature of Blogger.

You can share Texts, Links, Images, Videos etc. or you can compose conventional blog posts.

Moreover, Tumblr supports Adsense, and hence you can place your ads to earn some revenue from your tlog - i.e. Tumblr Blog.

Yahoo! 360 : This is the blogging tool by Yahoo!. Yahoo! is world’s most popular site and it has largest user base. If you are a Yahoo! User then Yahoo! 360 is like a boon for you as it is integrated with your Yahoo! account and can be easily share with other friends and networks at Yahoo!

HyperWebEnable : HWE is not any blogging plateform. This service actually helps you in developing your blog or site. This uses WordPress and offers all things FREE including a free domain name (not a subdomain like others). The service is not avail to all and they select bloggers depending upon the potential of your Idea or content.

You can create your blog with all essential and advance features and you don’t need to spend even a penny. It is the best way to have self-hosted WordPess Blog. They allow Adsense and all other earning ways.

Go buy yourself a coffee first for $2.50 cents.
With rest of the money buy domain, hosting and setup a blog. Below is step by step procedure on how to make money with your $30 investment.

My suggestion?
1. Think of a big keyword like dog training
2. Go to Google’s keyword tool
3. Type the keyword in the box and click Get Keyword Ideas
4. Go down the list and find a 3 letter keyword with a global monthly search volume of ~10,000
5. Go to Google and type the new keyword in with quotes around it
6. If the first site is something like Wikipedia, a really huge site, go back and find a different keyword
7. Go to name.com (or your preferred domain registrar) and see if your keyword is available in either .com, .net, or .org. If it isn’t, repeat steps 3-7
8. Register!
9. Set up the domain with hosting (I use http://securesignup.net)
10. Install wordpress (wordpress is good for seo)
11. Pick a nice theme or just leave the original one. When people see the original theme, it doesn’t look like you are selling anything
12. On the side bar, put a picture of yourself (for trust) and write an about me under it
13. Find an affiliate product on something like clickbank.
14. Your about me should be something like “Hello, my name is _. I was struggling with _(training my dog) for many years. It ruined everything. My _(house smelled like urine). But then I found _(affiliate link to product) and I was able to _(train my dog) with ease.
15. Make 3 (or 4) posts about your product. This is your sales letter. While you are writing your sales letter, go back to the keyword tool and find other keywords related to your first keyword. INCLUDE THEM IN YOUR WRITING. Also, scatter your affiliate link throughout the posts.
16. If you don’t like writing, there are many people on DP that can write for you.
17. Make a contact page and put your email and phone
18. Go and add your site to Google
19. If you want, make more sites, the more of these sites you have, the more money you make
20. Wait for your affiliate payment!

I hope this idea works for you.

Here, I will make a site with my own method

1. dog training
2. obedience training dogs
3. “obedience training dogs”

Find your passion, get a domain and hosting for your blog and start blogging! It needs hard work too though

Changing permalinks in WordPress: will it hurt my site in Search Engines?

Here is a example of what this means:

http://www.mysite.com/?p=123

to this

http://www.mysite.com/2008/10/the-best-post-ever/

is considered changing Permalinks.

Answer is Absolutely if these pages are indexed in Google/Yahoo/Bing.
Changing the permalinks will impact your website if there are other websites linking to your old permalinks, however you can do the following to keep your ranking.
. Create a .htaccess file to do a 301 redirect for all old links to the new links.

ie: something like this:
Redirect 301 /oldpage.html http://www.example.com/newpage.html

Do this for every permalink you’re changing.

2. You can download a plug-in called “Link Juice Keeper“, which will redirect all non existing url to your home page. At least this way, you’re redirecting all incoming links (and therefore PR) to your home page. You can download the plug-in here: hxxp://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/link-juice-keeper.

Just change hxxp to http

I recommend you do change the permalink since there are ways for you to keep your ranking and PR and this will benefit you more in the future.

If you are really determined to do this,
Here are my suggestions:
ere are some tips on how to do it well:
1. Have a strong site with lots of content to begin with.
2. Install the Redirection plugin for wordpress. This will automatically forward all of your old links to the new one via a 301 redirect.
3. Resubmit your sitemap to Google Webmaster tools immediately, so they can start being aware of the changes and altering its index accordingly.
Try to contact webmasters wherever you have a deep link to the old URL structure and see if they can update it to the new one. I basically just went through incoming links on Google webmaster tools and got a hold of whoever I could. Pretty much everyone was more than willing to switch it over because they want a dead link from their site as little as you want the wrong link pointing to yours.
Continue adding quality content once you’ve switched over.

Think twice before changing permalinks. Be wary of changing permalinks and meta tags.

1. Have compelling content: always make sure you are writing for real people, not just for the search engine spiders.

the other reason is nothing more than it will give you a following, people will recommend you to friends and will even search for you through google and the like, this again will get the se’s looking for content written you , oh lastly, choose a pen name that is uniqueso that there is more chance of you and your content being found.

This has two benefits, it gives your visitors something that they will want to read, the se (atleast google) knows how long people stay on your site and if they stay a read a good lengthy article of post, this will give you better ranking and will even give you better prices for ebery click you get should you be using adsense on that page.

Make sure you update your content frequently (weekly at a minimum and if possible, daily). No one wants to go to a site that contains old information.

2. Start a blog as it is the easiest way to get links (WordPress is the way to go)
Google is the 10,000lb Gorilla. And Google has loved Blogs for quite some time. Need I say more??

3. Smart marketing; with WordPress you have SEO covered

Default WP is good at SEO but specific plug-ins and techniques make it great. I am convinced that WordPress will maintain a leadership role in the blogosphere for a while to come. Seems that folks who stick with TypePad, etc. do so for niche reasons that I don’t quite understand.

If you do go with WP, then make sure you get All in One SEO Pack
